Aid Africa's original Six Brick Rocket Stove was developed with the aid of the people at Aprovecho in Cottage Grove, Oregon. Their expertise in stove engineering and methods of testing prototypes enabled us to design a very fuel-efficient stove.

Fourth grade students at Lemay Street Elementary School in Los Angeles raised money for Aid Africa to save babies as part of a reading, writing, and math unit. Along the way they learned to apply their skills to a real situation and to become empowered to be conscientious leaders for the future.

The Edmonds-Lynnwood Parish Living Water Committee working out of Edmonds Lutheran and Trinity Lutheran Churches in Lynnwood, Washington have partnered with us in repair water wells in Uganda. With their support we have been able to bring clean water to thousands of people.

Aid Africa has been working with Dr. Adrian Hightower's physics class at Occidental College in Los Angeles, and with students from the class who traveled to Uganda to build and evaluate the efficiency of our stoves. Together we are working on new well digging methods and improved stoves.

In October 2009, Aid Africa was assigned a Peace Corps volunteer who is working closely with our Ugandan staff, coordinating efforts and furthering our projects.

Aid Africa partners with local Rotary clubs and Rotary International, particularly the South Town Rotary in Eugene. Oregon and the Rotary club in East Fresno, California. Through their generosity we were able to purchase a van to transport mothers and their ailing babies to the hospital. |

In keeping with their mission to foster sustainable agroforestry, Trees For The Future donated seeds and expert advice to help Aid Africa with our reforestation project in Uganda.
